James Stephen Wright (*1988, Yorkshire) hat Environmental Art an der Glasgow School of Art studiert. Vor kurzem wurden seine Arbeiten in Spanien im Rahmen der Drap-Art‘14 am CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) ausgestellt und derzeit (im Januar 2015) ist seine Arbeit "Book of the Dead" in der Ausstellung "Museum for an Imagined City" in der SOIL Art Gallery in Seattle (USA) zu sehen.Januar und Februar verbringt er im Freiraum-Atelier von index in Zürich, wo er an einem neuen Projekt arbeitet, das er so skizziert:

Focusing on the methods and ways in which we in, the modern day, access, collect, utilize and capitalize on ‘data’. I use the performative act of collection, of objects and information, of the inhabitants of the twelve distinctive neighborhoods in Zürich, to piece together a mythological narrative that reflects upon the ideas of how digital technologies, media and privacy has affected the nature of identity in the urban environment.
